— Ron Ho, For Ron Ho: A Jeweler's Tale, 2019

+ Advance fine craft art appreciation and interest across NWDC's whole five-state region.

+ Create exciting opportunities for NWDC members to advance their art presence, build their resumes, businesses, and entrepreneurship.

+ Support NWDC members with opportunities to market and sell their artwork both digitally and in each member state.

+ Continue producing Living Treasures documentaries, member artist talks and Business of Art videos.

+  Grow a diverse and inclusive NWDC juried membership, connecting with fine craft artists across the Pacific Northwest.

+ Facilitate member education, social networking, mentoring programs; and invited lectures teaming with art museums, galleries and arts institutions.

+ Create opportunities for members to teach their unique techniques, build income, and present their practice to a wider audience.

+ Develop strong financial means for NWDC to achieve its vision.

"Over 60 Years ago, ten individuals came together, believing there was an important need for an organization dedicated to breaking down the barrier between 'fine arts' and 'craft'. They established the original group Northwest Designer Craftsmen.

— Larry Metcalf, Past President, NWDC

ACTION PLAN

+  NWDC has hired its first-ever Executive Director. Daniel Wallace leads work with the NWDC Board of Trustees to ensure the ongoing advancement of the organization. He began his work the first of June—bringing vision, coordination, and logistics to all of NWDC’s work. Daniel's experience as a Curator, Gallerist, Digital Producer, and Community Organizer will shape the development of exhibitions and educational opportunities for the fine craft community.

+  Create an NWDC online gallery offering members’ artwork for purchase and providing a curatorial platform to highlight artists across the PNW. Online Exhibitions will be supported by vigorous marketing regionally, nationally, and internationally.

+  Launch a 5-year fund-raising campaign to ensure financial stability, advance the 5-year vision, and reach goals by raising $50,000 annually through direct contributions - building the stability to pursue funding through fundraising projects, grants, sponsorship, online sales, in-person exhibitions, and educational events.

+  Execute an NWDC Symposium in each member state on a rotating schedule including exhibitions, classes, artist talks, and social engagements. Collaborate with museums, galleries, art centers, and institutions in each of our member states. Advance membership promotion in each state and provide an opportunity for all current members to connect in person.

We need your support achieve this vision.

All contributions are appreciated.
